Some people think Change your Body, Change your Life. When in fact Change your Mind, Change your Body  and by this I mean Change your Attitude toward your Body. Changes in your body happen naturally as we get older. Sadly, the only control over Changes in your body, is either exercise or plastic surgery.

Summer time is here and some of us “dare to bare” but for some this can be the worst season of all. Lots of people are very un-happy with their body images.

When people decide to radically change their bodies, the changes are unexpected and there is an actual grieving process that takes place.

“I think that people just do not realize how much just a little change can really change the whole overall picture. So when they look in the mirror they do not look like themselves anymore and that could be very disturbing, There is a self consciousness that comes up and a sense of not being who they are,” said psychotherapist Kathy Kater who specializes in body image disorders. (Body dysmorphic.)

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends asking important questions before you go under the knife:

Do I like myself?
Do I think I’m a good human being?
Am I someone deserving of love?
Do I deserve happiness?
Do I feel deep down that I’m an okay person?

People with low self-esteem find it hard to answer yes to these questions. Perhaps you are one of them. If so, maybe you might want to reconsider your decision to have plastic surgery. Work through these feelings of Low Self Esteem  (LSE) then if you still feel the need for change then go ahead.
