Mental Illness Help and Diagnosis online:

Did you know the famous Dutch artist, Vincent van Gogh, suffered all his adult life with a mental illness. It was reported that Vincent van Gogh had Bi-polar Disorder at a time in history when this illness had no recognition and definately no treatment. Most of his famous art work was produced in the final two years of his life, during which time he cut off part of his left ear following a breakdown of an important relationship. After this break up he alternated between episodes of madness and lucidity. Tragically, Van Gogh committed suicide.

Other famous people who suffered with mental illness were:

Abraham Lincoln suffered from severe depression.

It was reported that Florence Nightingale heard voices and experienced severe depression in her early 20’s.

Charles Darwin suffered several psychiatric disorders, including agoraphobia, which is anxiety based. He also had a variety of psychosomatic illness’s; Insomnia, hysterical crying, dying sensations, shaking, fainting spells, muscle twitches, shortness of breath, trembling, nausea, vomiting, severe anxiety, severe depression and other visual hallucinations

Today, mental illnesses can be successfully treated; Hence we can try to prevent tragic sufferings and help stop potential suicides.
