About Dawn Pugh
Hi, this is the area where I tell you a little about myself (Dawn Pugh MBACP) and my credentials.
I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2001 and since that time I’ve worked professionally as a Private Practitioner and as a Primary Care Counselor (Counsellor in the UK) / Psychotherapist helping more than 5,000 people to live a more fulfilled and satisfying life.
I work with many different and variable issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, assertiveness, low self esteem, negative thinking, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties and sexual abuse.
My solution focused therapy (which is short term and has a beginning a middle and an end) is extremely effective for people who want to change. I seek to help you identify and achieve your desired goals and dreams by helping you to make small but relevant changes which subsequently result in you feeling better and help you to become more in control of your life both now an in the future.
These changes may involve experimenting and challenging your beliefs, identifying new beliefs and exploring your thought process, creating new thought patterns, gaining insight into behavioral patterns and subsequently HELPING YOU TO HAVE MORE CHOICES.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling (Counseling in USA) and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their ethical framework for good practice.

Hi Adrianne,
Thank you for reading my post and for taking the time to leave a valuable question.
I would describe myself as a Cultural Christian: I do not view Jesus as essential to salvation. I am not likely to align my beliefs or practices to fit in within biblical teachings, or even attend church. I tend to favor a universal theology that sees many ways to a God.
Hope this is helpful?
Regards
Dawn
