More Sex “Symptoms Addiction” Questions
November 19, 2008
Addiction can cover a variety of addictions: “Counseling addiction”, “therapy addiction”, women and ”men addiction”. Religion, “christian addiction”, Some people can develop ”support group addiction” and, I can guess we all know some that have, “chat addiction”, but do you know What Sex Addiction is?
Just exactly what is a sex addiction?
Well contrary to popular belief, it is not, always about an insatiable appetite, or compulsive sexual thoughts and acts, but rather, about the addicts relentless chase of the object of desire and once this desire has been ‘had’, the addict is no longer interested. It can also relate to the falling in love erratically with a desired one, then falling out of love, just as quickly.
A short while ago I did a post, with questions to ask your self about sex addiction, well here are some more, feel free to indulge your self and do some serious sole searching.
1. Do you feel ashamed about your body?
2. Do you fear that you have little or no sexual feelings?
3. Does each new relationship continue to have the same destructive patterns which motivated you to leave the previous relationship?
4. Do you need more sexually exciting activities to bring you to the same level of arousal and relief?
5. Have you ever been in danger or have you ever been arrested as a result of your need to satisfy your sexual urges?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then maybe you will benefit from some psycho-sexual therapy or Addiction therapy.
Don’t worry you are not alone, there are lots of people who suffer some kind of addiction and you can learn to be free of your addiction, just like lots of others have too.

“Beauty Mark” is for anyone who has ever felt they didn’t conform to our culture’s impossible, unhealthy and abnormal beauty standards. Through the eyes of a psychotherapist and former triathlete Diane Israel. This film examines our culture’s toxic emphasis on weight. In what ways can sports actually make us sicker instead of healthier?
Former champion athletes, including David Scott, Ellen Hart Pena and Brenda Maller share their stories while notable luminaries such as playwright Eve Ensler, author Paul Campos and cultural critic Naomi Wolf provide their insights.
On Sunday, we watched Beauty.Mark, a must-see film by former elite triathlete Diane Israel. About ten years ago, I went to a cool body/mind/sport camp called Women’s Quest, where Diane was a coach. I remember her bringing up her body …
An elite runner and triathlete until age 28, Israel won the Pikes Peak Marathon and several other major races after settling in Colorado in the early 1980s. She retired from competition after collapsing from anorexia (sometimes called “athletic bulimia,” a disorder many athletes suffer from, but which few experts knew anything about at that time). Israel went back to school to become a psychotherapist and is now a professor of human development at Naropa University, a counselor and the co-owner of a women’s fitness center. She continues to run, but strives to live her life at a less frantic pace.

Are “You On a Diet”?
July 25, 2008
“You on a diet”,or searching to find the “best life diet” then raise your awareness and read this article because there are some rapid “fat smash diet” which come under the title of ”Natural Alternative therapies” which incidentally, can cause head injury, Symptoms of vomiting and dizziness can result in epileptic fits and you may receive permanent head injury symptoms.
“A British lady won more than £1,600,000 in damages this week after she claimed a detox diet caused her radical brain injuries and epilepsy. A nutritionist gave her a diet which featured drinking 4 extra pints of water daily and instructed her to reduce her salt intake. This so- called “Amazing Hydration Diet” resulted in the lady suffering a massive epileptic fit, doctors were unable to stop permanent brain damage.”
We are now recognizing the value of “Natural Alternative therapies”, as therapy alternatives: including osteopathy and acupuncture, which is used extensively throughout the medical world.
Massage is said to help to reduce blood pressure.
We are told, The Queen of England regularly uses Aromatherapy, even Prince Charles is said to use homeopathy.
Over the last few years ‘The British Government’ has decided that doctors in the UK must face annual tests to determine their competence, and reapply to renew their licences every five years.
I think that the same restrictions, codes of practice and monitoring of efficacy should be applied and adopted by Alternative and Holistic therapists, adequate insurances for professional liability, in case there is a need for cover and to protect against any kind of litigation.
In my opinion any conscientious therapist would want to adhere to this.

Find Out if You have Sex Mad “Symptoms addiction”
July 23, 2008
Addiction covers lots of variations: “Counseling addiction”, “therapy addiction”, women and ”men addiction”. Religion, “christian addiction”, Some people can develop ”support groups addiction” and, I can guess we all know some that have, “chat addiction”, but do you know What Sex Addiction is?
Celebrities, actors and pop stars gain some-kind of ‘kudos’ from a label like “sex addict” but when it comes to a 64 yr old married conservative member and even a ‘Lord’, it conj-ours up the wrong kind of impression.
Recently, a newspaper in England UK revealed that ‘Lord Irvine Laidlaw’ (or shall we say ‘Lord Irvine getmelaid Law’) regularly splashes out on kinky, drug-fuelled orgies with £3,000 a night prostitutes behind his wife’s back.
Lord Laidlaw, who quickly admitted the story was true and said he was seeking therapy for sex addiction, thus joined the ranks of celebrities such as Russell Brand, Michael Douglas and Ulrika Johnson who have admitted to the condition.
Below are some questions that you may wish to ask of your self:
1. Do you keep secrets about your sexual or romantic activities?
2. Do you lead a double life?
3. Do you need or desire to have sex in places or with people you would not normally choose to?
4. Do you find yourself searching for sexually arousing articles or scenes in newspapers, magazines or other media and not feeling satisfied with your sex life?
5. Do you find romantic or sexual fantasies affect relationships or prevent you from facing problems within them?
6. Do you frequently want to get away from a sex partner after having sex? Do you frequently feel remorse, shame or guilt after an encounter?
Some would say that this is just an excuse, or even a license to be promiscuous or unfaithful, whereas some say, it is a genuine addiction, whereby sufferers, need to develop new strategies in order to deal with sexual urges, explore their pleasure principles and alter their perception of love.
